USA Defeats Serbia in Olympic Basketball Exhibition
Serbia falls 105-79 in tune-up for 2024 Paris Games
Jokić sits out fourth quarter for Serbia
LAS VEGAS, NV - Team USA Basketball extended their winning streak to three games in pre-Olympic exhibition play with a commanding 105-79 victory over Serbia on Wednesday afternoon. Nikola Jokić, Serbia's star center and reigning NBA MVP, did not play in the fourth quarter due to an undisclosed injury.
Despite Jokić's absence, Serbia put up a strong fight against a talented Team USA squad. Bogdan Bogdanović led the way for the Serbians with 18 points, while Nemanja Bjelica added 15 points. However, it was not enough to overcome the firepower of the Americans, who were led by Jayson Tatum's 19 points.
