Esteban Ocon won the 2021 Hungarian Grand Prix, his first Formula One victory. Ocon started the race in eighth place, but he was able to move up the field and take the lead on lap 51. He held on to the lead for the rest of the race, winning by a margin of 1.856 seconds.
Sebastian Vettel finished second, but he was later disqualified after the required fuel sample could not be extracted from his car. This promoted Lewis Hamilton to second place, followed by Carlos Sainz Jr. in third place.
