Hilary Swank Wins Second Oscar, Joining Elite Group of Actresses
Swank Honored for Role in "Million Dollar Baby"
Previously Won Oscar for "Boys Don't Cry"
Oscar-winning actress Hilary Swank has made history by becoming only the fourth actress to win two Academy Awards for Best Actress. Swank received the honor for her portrayal of Maggie Fitzgerald in Clint Eastwood's "Million Dollar Baby" at the 77th Academy Awards ceremony. She had previously won the Oscar in 1999 for her performance as Brandon Teena in "Boys Don't Cry." With this latest victory, Swank joins the ranks of Vivien Leigh, Sally Field, and Luise Rainer as the only actresses to have achieved this rare feat.
