Isanti Businessman Sentenced to Life in Prison for 1993 Cold Case Killing

A 56-year-old Isanti man was sentenced Friday to life in prison for the 1993 cold case killing of Jeanne Jeanie Childs.

Isanti businessman Jerry Westrom has been found guilty of the 1993 murder of Jeanne Jeanie Ann Childs in Minneapolis.

"This was a tragedy for everyone involved," Jeanies sister said. "My heart is broken for Westoms wife and children."

On August 2022, Jerry Westrom, 56, was convicted of premeditated murder in the 1993 killing of 35-year-old Jeanne Ann Childs.

After closing arguments on Thursday morning, Jerry Westrom left court with his wife Elizabeth Ann and attorney Steve.
